:: Butterfingers - Me ::

Butterfingers "Me"

I have reasons why its sour
I have time to make it sharper
Don't you make me feel no longer
I would love to read the answer...

Where's the thing called beautiful?
I don't think it's wonderful
Just to fake it ain't so sweet
Ain't so numb and it's not because of me

If I take it all for granted
I would spread word through the pieces
Do you think it's all screwed up?
I don't think so because I'm free now

Where's the thing called beautiful?
I don't think it's wonderful
Just to fake it ain't so sweet
Ain't so numb and its not because of me

Why don't you ask me where I sound from? (7x)
Why don't you tell me
Its not because of me

:: compare ::

My teachers and lecturers used to tell me, "When you compare two or more stuff, you should compare it wisely.. compare an apple to another apple.. don't compare an apple with an orange"..

Ah, now I know what those people were saying..

So, those who didn't compare wisely is what eh?

Not wise ka?

So, here we go.. comparison of some countries.. the oil price in their country, against their PPP and whether they produce oil or not..

And to be 'nice' to people who compared-apples-with-oranges, in this table, even for those countries that still import oil even though they produce oil, I had just left them still with a tick..

:: oil.. minyak.. ::

Here's something that made me laugh. Credit to saudara Johnny Ong.. (http://johnny-ong.blogspot.com)

Anyway, I've found a website which posted a song about the petrol price. From what was written, it was said that the song was sung by a Malaysian band: Pretty Ugly, and the title was: Kelab Jiwa Muzik.

The lyric was nice and 'deep'. It cuts deep, very very deep. Look at the colors used in the song. Very meaningful. And the parts in the song about 'yuran', and 'yang penting tahu nyanyi Negaraku' were the ones that made me smile and nod in agreement..

Song / Lagu : Kelab Jiwa Muzik - Pretty Ugly

Lyrics / Lirik Kelab Jiwa Muzik :

Naik minyak dengar berita
Sana-sini dah huru-hara
Ramai hero di tepi jalan
Kena sembur lari lintang-pukang

c/o:

Apakah dikau buta?
Kita sedang sengsara
Aku bukan mengkritik
Mari sertai Kelab Jiwa Muzik

Jalan gelap hitam berkilat
Itu tanda nak kaya-raya raya
Hijau, merah nyalakan api
Biru biro gelombang mikro

c/o:

Apakah dikau buta?
Kita sedang sengsara
Aku bukan mengkritik
Mari sertai Kelab Jiwa Muzik
Apakah dikau buta?
Kita makin berpecah
Ini bukan politik
Mari sertai Kelab Jiwa Muzik

bridge :
Yuran percuma
Tiada janji manis
Tak perlu payung
Hujan satu meja
Yang penting tahu
Nyanyi satu lagu
Negaraku Malaysia

:: november rain ::

I found this song as I was browsing the songs collection that I have on my computer.

Oh God, I used to know how to play this song. But it was in a bad way.

I learned it as my bunker-buddy (I was staying in a hostel in high school) wanted to play this song for his girlfriend. And his girlfriend was my ex-girlfriend. It was dreadful (one month after we broke up).

But I'm OK with it now. We all moved on. And I got someone better now. Thanks God.

Anyway, here is the lyric. A 9-minute song.

November Rain

When I look into your eyes
I can see a love restrained
But darlin' when I hold you
Don't you know I feel the same

'Cause nothin' lasts forever
And we both know hearts can change
And it's hard to hold a candle
In the cold November rain

We've been through this much a long long time
Just tryin' to kill the pain

But lovers always come and lovers always go
An no one's really sure who's lettin' go today
Walking away

If we could take the time
to lay it on the line
I could rest my head
Just knowin' that you were mine
All mine
So if you want to love me
then darlin' don't refrain
Or I'll just end up walkin'
In the cold November rain

Do you need some time...on your own
Do you need some time...all alone
Everybody needs some time...
on their own
Don't you know you need some time...all alone

I know it's hard to keep an open heart
When even friends seem out to harm you
But if you could heal a broken heart
Wouldn't time be out to charm you

Sometimes I need some time...on my
own
Sometimes I need some time...all alone
Everybody needs some time...
on their own
Don't you know you need some time...all alone

And when your fears subside
And shadows still remain
I know that you can love me
When there's no one left to blame
So never mind the darkness
We still can find a way
'Cause nothin' lasts forever
Even cold November rain

Don't ya think that you need somebody
Don't ya think that you need someone
Everybody needs somebody
You're not the only one
You're not the only one

:: fuel hike, kenaikan minyak ::

People say, pictures speak louder than words.. please click on the pictures below to see how we can save (or how we are expected to save) in the event of an increase of oil price in Malaysia starting on 5th June 2008.

As someone (a minister, was it?) had said that we will get subsidized only for what we NEED and not what we WANT, the question then is:
WHAT IS DEFINED AS THE AMOUNT OF PETROL THAT WE REALLY REALLY NEED TO USE??

So, this calculations were done in order to find that out (or at least, suggest us) on what 'NEED' had been defined for us, Malaysians.

So, for these calculations, it was assumed that a rebate of RM625.00 would be paid to us (users of vehicles below 2000cc) in postal order yearly once we re-new our road tax.

Let us see how much that can help.. Feel free to forward it to let other Malaysians judge with their brain, calculators and wallets..
