:: Hooray! ::
This is a Kijang:
And this is one of Negeri Sembilan's famous dish, Masak lemak cili api:
And this a place where you are not allowed to cook or eat inside:
What is the connection among the three pictures? Well, none whatsoever. This is just a post with no real objective.
Why am I doing this? It's because..
Yup, Negeri Sembilan won the Malaysia Cup. The score and scorer?

:: Gadis Melayu ::
Well, I've been there, done that. Happy with who I got now..
:)
So, here it goes, for all those pure Malay girls (not in terms of blood, but behaviour), I present to you (and for you):
Siapa bilang gadis melayu tak menawan
Tak menarik hati, tiada memikat
Kalaulah memang tak mungkin aku tertarik
Kalaulah sungguh tak mungkin aku kan jatuh
Aduhai... lemah lembut gayanya
Serta manis senyumnya
Hitam pekat rambutnya
Ayuh ambil si dia
Di antara gadis gadis seluruh dunia
Tiada yang sehalus mulus oh setulus dia
Di antara gadis gadis seluruh dunia
Tiada yang sehalus mulus oh setulus dia
Budi bahasanya, pandangan matanya
Sentuhan jiwanya membuatku terlena

:: Empty cigarette boxes? ::
For those collectors, having empty boxes might be a problem or some sort of nuisance, due to:
1. As the boxes are empty, they're too light and can easily fall off.
2. It can easily lose its shape, if they're made out of paper.
3. It occupy space, and doesn't have any extra-added value or purpose to it (besides being part of your collection, of course).
Please take a look at Figure 1, showing an empty cigarette box (the brand is hidden, as I don't want to partake promoting of smoking, or loyalty to any brands).
With a bit of thinking and effort (and a semi-depressed mind), I had figured that by heating up a candle which produces nice smell in the room, the hot wax from the candle can then be used to fill in the empty spaces of the cigarette box (as shown in Figure 2).
One might ask me, why use the wax? Well, the reason is simple, since you have to trim of the candle for suitable burning, why not use the wax (in its molten form) to be poured into the empty space of the box?
By doing this, you can:
1. Take the benefit of the scent remaining in the wax, and capture it by letting it fill into the empty ciggy box. And if you're trying to quit, you can use this to remind you that by quitting, you can gain a better sense of smell.
2. Reduce the amount of wax that you would end up throwing into the bin (just try to do something for Mother Earth or Gaia, ok?)
3. By letting the wax to harden up a few minutes later, you had in fact 'mummified' you cigarette box! Eureka, now those boxes can retain their shape for a long time!
Besides that, as the wax harden, the density increases. This would then result with a box which is not just able to retain its shape, it is also heavier, and smell nicer..!
Thus, it can be used as a paperweight!
So, isn't this something nice? At least, for me, I'm using two of them now. One as a paperweight which carries a nice scent, and the other one as a 'mummy' in my pocket to remind me the reason why I'm trying to quit. Hey, besides reminding me that I now have a better sense of smell, the wax also ensures the box doesn't lose its shape, which then allows me to look at the powerful anti-smoking ad on the box for a longer period of time..

:: Liverpool 0 - Beach Ball 1 ::
About 5 minutes into the match between Liverpool and Sunderland, in front of the 47,327 fans at the Stadium of Lights, the travelling team (ie. Liverpool) was trailing by one goal down.
Sunderland's Andy Reid and Lee Cattermole made a fruitful combination in opening up the Liverpool's defense. And as the Irishman picked out leading scorer Bent beyond the far post, fate intervened.
The striker's shot hit a beach ball (spotting the ever-famous Liverpool's emblem) and deflected the ball, flying past Reina into the net.
The keeper must have thought that he had Darren Bent's shot covered, but nope, it wasn't meant to go that way.
The beach ball was earlier thrown onto the pitch by a fan.
Thus, as the travelling team was trailing 0-1, without the presence of Gerrard and Torres, the game seemed to be harder to be won.
The game ended with the score 1-0 to Sunderland, with the sole scorer being Mr Beach Ball (oops, I mean, Mr Darren Bent). And with that, it seems that the Red's aim of winning the league seems to be deflated.

P/S: The moral here? Pick a better spot to bring and play with your beach ball! It is called a beach ball for a reason, OK??!

:: Takbir.. ::
Barisan Nasional's Tan Sri Mohd Isa Samad won Bagan Pinang by-election today by a big majority of 5435 votes, compared to the one recorded for the 8th March 2008 election, ie. 2333 votes.
The BN candidate got 8013 votes (ie. 3521 postal votes + 4492 normal votes), while the PAS NS's State Commissioner: Zulkefly Mohamad Omar got 2578 votes (ie. 601 postal votes + 1977 normal votes).
Other facts:
1. The total number of votes (including postal votes) is 11157 (ie. 81.65% turnout).
2. The total number of spoilt votes is 566 votes (ie. 134 postal votes + 432 normal votes).
3. The total number of AVAILABLE postal votes is 4611 (ie. Pas got 601 votes, BN got 3521 votes, 134 spoilt votes, and 355 didn't vote).
4. The number of registered voters who didn't vote is about 2507 votes (ie. by the fact that 18.35% didn't vote). This means that about 355 person didn't do the postal votes, while 2152 normal voters didn't turnout to vote.. Why, oh why?
5. Should the 2507 voters actually voted and did so for PAS, the only difference it would make is a smaller majority. The strong 8013 votes obtained by BN would still produce an end result of a majority larger than the one obtained in March 2008 by PAS. And nobody can really say that those 2507 votes wouldn't end up being for BN anyway (which would mean a greater margin of loss for PAS).
6. There were eight voting centres in the by-election: Taman Eastern, Ladang Atherton, Siliau, Ladang Bradwall, Sua Betong, Kg Bagan Pinang, Si Rusa, and Teluk Kemang.
7. Bagan Pinang is located in the Teluk Kemang parliamentary seat. There are five seats in the constituency, with BN currently holding two (Linggi and Bagan Pinang), PKR holding two (Chuah and Port Dickson), and Lukut is under DAP.
8. BN controls 21 out of the 36 states seats in the state assembly (ie. the DUN: Dewan Undangan Negeri). Out of the 15 state seats, 10 belongs to DAP, 4 belongs to PKR, and PAS has 1 seat.
9. In the last general election, for Bagan Pinang, BN got 6430 votes, while PAS has 4097 votes, and the majority was 2333 votes. Thus, there is an increase of 1583 votes for BN and a decrease of 1519 votes for PAS. So, is it plausible to say that the ones who voted for PAS ran to the BN's side this time?
That's all for now. Congrats to the winner, and to the losing side, try again next time.
All in all, congratulation to the locals for doing their duty and right as voters. You rule!

:: Islamisation of the world.. or not? ::
1. The total number of Muslims in the world is now 1.57billions (ie. second place behind the largest group: Christians, about 2.25 billions)
2. Germany has much more Muslims compared to Lebanon, China has more compared to Syria, and Russia has more compared to Jordan and Libya
3. 60% of Muslims live in Asia
4. About 20% live in West Asia and Northern Africa
5. About 15% live in African sub-Sahara
6. About 2.4% live in Europe, while about 0.3% in the USA
7. One fifth of the total Muslim populations live in countries where they are the minorities
8. There are 10 countries which has more than two-third of their populations being Muslims: Indonesia, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Iran, Turkey, Egypt, Algeria, Maghribi (Morocco) and Nigeria
So, is there a cause for Islamophobics to be more worried, and do something about this?
Or is it a good time for those so called 'warriors' of Islam to shout 'God is Great' and rejoice?
Nope. Sorry guys, I don't think so.
Why?
1. The study indicated the number of world's population that reported themselves as Muslims. BUT, most likely, this is done through government agencies, and bear in mind that most of the governments (countries in which 80% of the Muslim population resides) doesn't take conversion out of Islam as an option, or something to be recorded in their survey. THUS, NO REAL INDICATION OF THE REAL NUMBER OF WORLD'S POPULATION WHO ACTUALLY PROFESS ISLAM AND PRACTICE ITS TEACHINGS.
2. The study tried to find out how many of the percentage is either Sunni or Shiite. Well, I say, it's a good thing, but won't you agree with me that the better sub-groups choices should be: "practising", "non-practising", "don't care (it's just a family's religion)"...?
3. What difference that it makes that Muslims is the second largest group when they control almost nothing?
Politics? Just take a look at Hamas and Fatah fighting, can't even have a peaceful rule in a small strip of land. OIC? Damn, putting aside leaders like Mahathir, Gaddafi and Ahmadejinedad, I don't see any vocal Muslim leaders anyway.
Culture? Pfft, tell me honestly, anywhere on Earth where Islamic culture prevail? The only thing that makes non-Muslims realize Muslims are there is only when you see girls with tudung/hijab around you. And honestly, how many would actually wear, and how many more would rather don something hot/sexy to follow the Western culture?
Technology? You make me laugh if you answer this. Apart from having the oils, they don't seem to know what to develop with those money.
Economy? This is even funnier. With all the money, maybe some of them think that it's better if they just hire someone else to do things for them. Hire and never learn how to do the trade. In fact, the only time they had shown their economic power was when the oil price went crazily high due to some embargo a few decades ago. Why they can't control this? I think, the answer is because the have no political or technological advantage over others.
More like lotsa bubbles on the sea. Nothing much ado, except for the huge number that consume products and technologies which came from non-Muslims.
4. And if you'd like to spend a bit more time at those countries with the Muslim majorities, I'm pretty sure that you would notice that all of them are befuddled with issues such as:
i. Extremism / terrorism
ii. Lack of a stable education and welfare system
iii. High flow of attacks/spread of secularism (eg. Indonesia, which supposedly has the biggest number of Muslims are in fact host to too many celebrities whose sexiness could actually make those 'secular Westerners' become awed and shocked. Yeah, this is true, go online, search and whack your weapon to those pictures.. Heh, so much for being the country with the biggest number..)
iv. Political instability, or some sort of regime/dictatorship in power
v. Undeveloped, or economically crippled!
So, again, any reason why anyone should worry or rejoice about these numbers?
I seriously think it doesn't mean a thing to me..

:: Saudagar mimpi ::
...Mimpi itu dream, kata para banana (yellow on the outside, white on the inside kind of people)
Ada juga yang tak bermimpi langsung, sleeping beauty katanya, or was it 'beauty sleep'?
Anda bagaimana..?
Jadi, makanya, jiwa saya jiwa global.. :)
Jenis-jenis mimpi yang selalu saya alami (not in any specific order):
Set? Janji tau, jangan bagitau kat Ayah, tau?"
Anda pula bagaimana? Ada dapat ilham-ilham yang menarik?
Mampu jadi saudagar mimpi?
Mampu jadi sutradara dengan jalanan mimpi anda?

P/p/s: Want to know the similarity between menses and salary?
1. They usually come once a month.
2. They usually last only for a few days.
3. If you missed it once, it is still OK. But if you missed it twice, you're f**ked!

:: memorable Ramadhan ::
In Adelaide:
1. On my first Ramadhan in Adelaide, (17th Nov 2001), I accidentally 'buka puasa' with slices of bacon, which is nicely hidden in the Caesar Salad. I didn't know that the salad contains that. It was actually my mak angkat that ordered it as she thought that it would be fine for me (a semi-vegetarian, she says), as she thought that it is just a salad..
2. In the same Ramadhan, I experienced this weird experience of 'tolak kereta' to start a stalled engine. I can still recall that the car belongs to a senior (Nizam). As we was heading home from the mosque at Lil' Gilbert Street, the engine stalled. He said that since it is a manual car, we can 'jumpstart' it by pushing the car, while it is put in 1st gear. The car's engine finally started, after we (the juniors) had made a few laps in front of the mosque..!
3. I had a shocking experience when during one of the terawih session, one of the jemaah actually stopped and slapped a kid that was running in and out, and it was all done when we were in the middle of a prayer! Amazingly, the father of the kid didn't protest or say anything after the prayer..! (In Malaysia, I think that will cause a big issue, with the parents spoiling the kids, etc.)
4. Some of my friends actually ruku' and sujud when the imaam was reciting the doa qunut BEFORE the ruku' (prostration). These same guys were the one that was giving salam (loudly) after the second raka'ah of witir prayer, while the imam and the others were actually doing a continuous three-raka'ah witir prayer. Amazingly, these friends of mine just buat bodoh, and put on a selamber face, while the rest of us were busy trying our best not to laugh (out loud) or look at their faces. In consclusion, I think, everyone's witir on that night was null and void. No one could actually stay focussed in their prayer.
5. During the final years of stay for some of my friends in Adelaide, suddenly, one of them actually convincingly said that we can sahur until the end of Subuh time (ie. sunrise)! We quickly pointed out to him that fasting starts from fajar (ie. the beginning of Subuh time) and lasts until sunset (when there is a mega-mega merah on the horizon). We started to wonder whether he did actually puasa properly all this while.. :)
In college (during my foundation, pre-uni days):
6. One of my non-Muslim female friend asked me whether I want to have beer for buka puasa. I said 'nope' as it not allowed for me, and I had never drank beer before. Suddenly she says: "It's OK. Just a sip. It's only for trying purpose. If you like it, you can finish it, and then, tomorrow, you just pray ten times, instead of the usual five".. I was speechless at that time because she doesn't look like she was joking. She was serious, and it shocked me even more (because I thought that all Malaysians had enough exposure about each others religion by the time they enters college).
During high school (in boarding school):
7. One of my friend convincingly buka puasa by mengorek hidung.. This was when we were rushing to get to the mess hall for buka puasa. And since it was puasa time, nobody had water or anything on them to buka puasa. And suddenly, this friend of mine recited this doa for buka puasa, and straight away korek his hidung! I told him: "Oi! Tu batalkan puasa, bukan buka puasa", and his answer was like: "Ye ke? Tak sama ke?"...
8. 5 of my friends and me panjat pagar (sneaked out) of the hostel on the evening before the first day of Ramadhan. We went out for a large meal, and to go and 'watch-and-enjoy' some (I can't remember, maybe it was two, or three) 5-stars porn movies at a mini-cinema. And it was in the middle of the SPM weeks. That year, our SPM was split into two periods, as the 1st of Ramadhan falls in the middle of the SPM weeks. Thank God we all weren't caught by the wardens (who were busy preparing for the next day, ie. 1st day of fasting). And thank God we did well for SPM.
Miscellaneous time (apart from those three periods stated above):
9. When I was younger and first started to learn how to puasa, my parents forgot to tell me that ladies having menses (ie. datang bulan) are not allowed to fast, as God forbid them from doing so. And me being the only child, I didn't know about these rule (I mean, some of us learn about it from their sisters). Thus, during one my earliest fasting days, I saw my aunt eating (at home) during daytime. I almost shouted at the top of my lungs to alert my grandma that my aunt had curi-curi makan..! My aunt and mom later explained to me that she is not fasting. When I asked them why is it like that, the answer given was: datang bulan. As I did not know what that means, I assumed that she was ill (at that time, the only reasons that I know of for why someone can tak berpuasa was by being ill). Thus, I asked her: "Makcik tak sehat ke?". As she doesn't know what to say (or maybe lazy to explain the concept of datang bulan), she just nodded yes. And my reaction was then: "La.. Kenapa tak cakap?", before I quickly panggil my grandpa to send my aunt to a clinic for a check-up. To solve everything, my aunt just swallow dua biji Panadol and told me that she hopes she will be 'sehat' in a few days time...
Well, that's all for now. I got some other experiences, which some of them are not share-able at all!
Till next time, selamat berpuasa and selamat berbuka..

:: Bila kacang lupakan kulit ::
a Blogger,
and Pensyarah Kanan, Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia.
Diterbitkan http://ridhuantee.blogspot.com/ (3 Ogos 2009)
Saya sentiasa memuhasabah diri apabila dikeji. Sifat ini perlu ada pada semua manusia.
Saya menulis atas kebenaran.
Bila isu menyebelahi Melayu, bagaikan nak runtuh satu Malaysia? Adakah politik sebegini tidak rasis? Saya harap kita jangan bertindak seperti kacang lupakan kulit.
Tetapi kita ada Kolej/Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (MCA), Universiti Terbuka Wawasan (Gerakan), Kolej New Era (Dong Jiao Zong), Asian Institute of Medical Science and Technology (AIMST-MIC) dan bermacam-macam lagi institusi berasaskan kaum.
Mereka melihat bagaimana orang Cina mendapat habuan apabila orang Melayu turut berjaya.
Bagaimana Tanah Melayu bertukar menjadi Malaysia.
Jangan pula agama disalahkan. Agama itu terlalu suci. Kalau tidak faham agama sendiri, belajarlah, jangan jadi jahil. Bila saya bercakap seumpama ini saya dituduh tali barut UMNO.
Apakah UMNO terlalu buruk? Janganlah seperti kacang lupakan kulit.

:: Blessing or Curse? ::
This posting was copied from MBA (The Muslim Bloggers Alliance).

BLESSING OR CURSE? by Sister Aliya Yeoh Abdullah
“You’re not going to the surau today?” Mrs. Tan (not her real name) asked me.
“Nope, I’m having my day off.”
“Day off?”
“Menses.. monthly period.”
“Oh… It’s degrading isn’t it, the way women are treated in Hindu and Islam. You can’t pray when you’re having your periods.”
I was shocked at her comment. Recovering quickly, I replied, ” Well actually no. Islam treats women so well that we are given the days off when we’re having our monthly menses.”
“What do you mean?”
“Well, as we all know, having menses can be very messy and physically tiring for women. Some suffer from cramps. Allah is Most Merciful, so Muslim women are excused form performing the prayer and fasting when she is coping with the monthly menses. In fact, it’s a sin for the woman to perform the 5 times a day solat during this time of the month. It’s not a punishment but rather, a compassionate gift for women.”
“But I thought women can’t pray at this time because they’re unclean?”
“Muslim women can still pray or doa to Allah, and recite the zikir or praises to Him. It’s just that she doesn’t need to perform the 5 times a day prayer ritual or solat, because it’s physically taxing on her during her menses. Allah in His wisdom lifted the load of solat prayer and the burden of fasting for Muslim women during these times of her life. Uncleanliness is only in her menstrual blood, not her physical self. She can still be with her husband, except having sexual intercourse.”
“But why prevent a woman from praying as usual? Isn’t menses a natural part of a woman’s biological cycle that God makes for a woman?”
“Tell me, are you in a good mood when you’re having your menses? Would you voluntarily wake up at the early hours of dawn, or you’d prefer to sleep a little longer? Do you like to perform exercises when you’re suffering discomfort from menstrual cramps? Do you want to go hungry for hours when you’re having your menses?”
“Of course I’d prefer to sit and rest if I can.”
“Naturally. So Muslim women are exempted from observing prayer or solat, and fasting during her menses because both these tasks are difficult and physically demanding. It’s not a punishment. It’s actually Allah’s gift for the Muslim woman during her menses, to remove hardship and religious obligations from her and allow her space to focus on what she is experiencing during her monthly cycle.”
“So you mean it’s actually to help the women, not as a form of treating women as second-class worshippers?”
“Women are respected in Islam, contrary to what many people prefer to believe. Allah in His wisdom and mercy has ordered women to stop performing her prayer and fasting at such times. So a Muslim woman who does not perform prayer and fast during her menses is actually worshiping Allah too. She obeys His commands and submit to Him.”
“But why can’t she go to the mosque and read the Quran at these times?”
“Actually anyone who is impure, like a man who has just made love to his wife, can’t read the Quran or go to the mosque unless they wash themselves clean first through ablution or mandi hadas. It’s nothing to do with being a woman or a man. In Islam, we show great respect and reverence for the Creator, which is why we wash ourselves clean first and wear clean clothing when we perform the prayer before Him, as well as touch the Holy Quran.”
“So a Muslim woman is actually respected when she’s having her menses?”
“Yes, of course. Muslim women are prevented from praying not because she’s dirty/unclean during her menses. Actually she’s given the holidays from God Almighty so that she can rest and regain her strength. Allah does not intend to place any difficulty on the shoulders of His servants. When a person is experiencing difficulty, Islam will give him or her some concessions that make life easy.”
” I see..”
“Do you know how many days a woman is exempted from performing the solat every month?”
“One week?”
” As long as she’s having her menses.Maximum is 14 days. And she doesn’t have to replace the number of prayers she doesn’t perform at those times. That’s how merciful Allah is to Muslim women.”
“Ok… now I understand.”
Conclusion:
1. It's a reward, not a curse. It's a sign of love and acknowledgment from God that having menses is not something to be toyed with. (So, sabar banyak2 eh bro if your partner lain macam siket bila datang bulan..)
2. It's not because of being unclean (since you can still do doa and zikir), it is because solat is a physical thing, and it needs lots of focus and effort. (So, sapa2 yang solat sambil lewa, pikir2 la sendiri..)
3. Even by not fasting and not doing solat while having menses is an act of obedience to God. Best tuh! Furthermore, even though a women having menses can't fast, her action of helping her family (esp. husband), by actions (eg. bangunkan sahur, temankan masa sahur, etc) menjadikan dia dapat plus points.
4. So, since you've already known this, please explain and clear things out if anyone says that Islam mistreats women when they're having menses. Thank you.

:: degree program comparison ::
Why did I choose to compare these two universities? Because both claims to be the best (or one of the best) university for doing Engineering courses in their countries, respectively.
Some of the stereotypical issues might be:
2. sombong seih budak grad oversea, padahal aku belajar lagi banyak dari dia..!
3. apa kelas budak grad local uni je?
To do justice, here are what I think students (or graduates) from both countries can claim:
For UTM students:
1. Kitaorg terer, sebab amek banyak subjects!
2. Busy wo idop dolu2, banyak assignments! Dah la sampai 50% value untuk full mark! But kitaorg dapat lepas dengan berjaya! Dah la ada lecturer yang macam...!
3. Kitaorg ada banyak awek2 cun kat sini! Stok penapisan untuk dijadikan pasangan idop sangat besar!
4. Kitaorg makan best! Nak balik umah untuk makan yang lagi best pun tak la susah sangat, paling jauh pun, flight 2 jam je.
5. Dugaan ah beb, banyak hal ah kat sini, politik la, family la, nak bayar pinjaman la etc..
But kitaorg kan terer? Sumer clear beb!
7. Sini persaingan tinggi bro! Dah la kerajaan kalau boleh nak semua students all-rounded: bijak, beriman, beramal, terer sukan, etc etc. Nasib baik tak jadi robot terus.
For Adelaide Uni students:
Apa tuh? Last time kena amek rollcall masa kat skolah la. Rindu pulak zaman dulu kena paksa belajar. Ada jugak orang yang tengok2 perkembangan.
3. Walaupun subjek siket, tapi most likely syllabus sama banyak. Siap advance lagi tuh, ada projek nanotechnology. Tak caya, tengok kat bawah ni..
4. Kitaorg nak cari stok gadis Melayu terakhir susah ah. Tapi, global market bro! Global!
5. Alamak, makanan halal susah gak nak cari! But kalau kitaorg still pilih untuk hidup dengan makan benda2 halal je, rasa2nya, boleh claim iman kitaorg lagi kuat.. Bab balik umah jumpa parents memang susah la, mahal. Call pon kena ikut time, malam2 ada la cheap time period to call. But concert2 banyak woi sini, takde censor2 pulak tuh! (Alamak, lupa pulak aku belajar apa tadi..)
6. Dugaan? Maklumlah, takde azan, takde pencegah maksiat, uni bagi kondom free (macam gula2), nightclub depan uni, KFC yang memang tak halal berlambak, ganja/alkohol/hiburan macam jumlah masjid kat Malaysia. Banyak giler!
7. Nasib baik ah kitaorg takde kena amek subjek macam tuh. Eh eh, patutlah kitaorg maybe kurang bermoral, kurang Islamic dan kurang Asian. But takpelah, kitaorg belajar direct dari idop, 4 tahun, tiap2 hari kena duga. Practical tu beb!
8. Persaingan? Susah beb, susah! Haha..
Nota editor: sorry kalau nampak berat sebelah. Tak berniat apa2, cuma as orang yang tak duduk kat Malaysia now, tak tau apa hujah2 best budak local U..
So, apa moralnya?
Hormatilah satu sama lain.
So, for both, rendah2kan lah diri. Hormat pihak yang satu lagi. Jangan pandah rendah pihak satu lagi, tapi jangan la sampai biarkan orang kata degree uni korang tak berkualiti, atau tuduh korang sambil main2 pun boleh grad!
By the way, here is the comparison between the program for Bachelor of Engineering in both universities:

:: Why the need of replacing the Causeway? ::
For those who disagree, or disgruntled about this idea, no apologies are made. I am a Malaysian, and I should voice what I think is good for my country.
Maybe, some of my friends from the bordering southern country might be pissed, or think that I'm pissed with them, but afraid not, I mean no harm. But my country will always comes first.
Reasons why the Causeway should be removed/replaced:
1. To accommodate the free flow of water and ships. Better flow would mean better nautical environment.
2. By providing access there (under the replacement bridge), the ports (Pasir Gudang, and Tanjung Pelepas) would have a greater amount of trade. These ports would then be the most vital southern-most tip of the Asian mainland.
3. This would then work in tandem with the proposed double-track railway from these ports to KLIA and up north into Thailand.
4. As the double-track railway will be big enough to carry the trade items shipped as cargo, these cargoes can then be carried by it, and then be flown from KLIA, or be transported direct to mainland Asia (through Thailand).
5. Since we already have a good network of highways in the Peninsular which is joined to the major network of Asian highways, this also means that the trade items can also be transported through road.
6. Millions of jobs can the be generated as trade is increased, and this would also lead to greater development of road and rail links (and new cities) in the Eastern part of the Peninsular.
7. Another port can then be developed in either Kelantan or Terengganu, or any of the Northern states to provide better connection. Hence, leading to even a chance that ther is no need to stop at the ports down there in the south.
8. As per point #1, there can then be development of the waterfront of the most Southern state in the Peninsular. It can be a new Venice-like city, which can be a twin to the one that should be build in KL (as the city would be leased congested due to the transfer of Government facilities to Putrajaya).
9. This would also allow installation of better checkpoints or scanning facility on the new bridge. Traffic flow in the southern-most city in the Peninsular would also be improved. And better naval control and surveillance.
10. Hence, better connection of the already built or soon-to-be-built infrastructure network in the Peninsular. No need to worry about security, the bridge could be cut off if there the need arise. (Just like why the new administration capital was built on a man-made island. Think about it, by cutting off the bridge, the 'island' can still be protected by naval, air and land forces, and can still work as the beating heart of the nation).
11. It's as a show of our brave stand and authority as a proud sovereign nation with rights. We can still be good neighbour, but one which is also intelligent and brave.
There you go, those are the reasons. Some people might say that it's dumb to give full reasoning, as your enemy might see your 'secret' planning. But my idea is this: sometimes, you have to 'accidentally' leak your might and intelligence to others, so that they have a hint of what they'll be dealing with should they toy with the idea of confrontation.
All in all, I truly support the idea of replacing it.
Now, go forth, and build it!
p/s:
On a lighter note, I remembered when Malaysians were celebrating the 31st August here in Australia, they was a big banner on which everyone wrote their wishes / statements of love for the country. One fellow Singaporean even wrote 'Malaysia tanah airku' (maybe trying to pass as one of the my fellow countrymen).
I came and changed it to 'Malaysia: sumber airku'.. Partly as a joke, and partly as a reminder/lesson to the others (esp. from Malacca) that they're paying more for water, as compared to a particular foreign country.
:: Transformers II ::
Sound / special effects: 5 stars (out of 5)
Story plot: 3 stars ( for a 120+ minutes movie, and an action one, this is one of the movies in which you have to pay FULL attention. Try to avoid going to toilet or skipping through any part. Get a cup and pee somewhere while you can still watch the movie. The storyline can get a bit confusing. Furthermore, if you have a weak command of English, you might want to wait until the original DVD with full subtitle comes out. Pirated/fake ones won't give you good understanding, unless you're an avid Transformers fan!)
Hotness of the actresses: 3 stars (might be more, like 4.5/5 if you fancy Caucasian/white girls. For me, nah, East Asians ones work their magic better on me)
Value for money: 4 stars (it's worth it for the actions/violence shown, and the sound / special-effects makes it a worthy one to watch at a cinema. Unless you have a home stereo and you can wait until you get your hands on original DVD, you might want to consider catching this movie at a good cinema).
OVERALL: 3.5 stars
So, Mr Bay, if you're reading this, can I get a set of two free tickets for Transformers III in 2012?? And next time, can you put up the name of the Transformers on the screen? At least when they first appear? Not all of us read Wikipedia to find out who's who, OK? But good job anyway. Me happy.

OK, since I've warned you, I'm now free to talk about the movie.
Summary of story plot:
The movie starts with a flashback of the Fallen fighting against human about 17000BC. And then, it recent time, Starscream (which is kinda like Decepticons's leader while Megatron is down there at the bottom of the sea) is searching for the piece of the Cube (or whatever it's called).
The Decepticons were mobilizing themselves under the command of Starscream to do just that. They trace Sam Witwicky, even when he was going to college. Meanwhile, the Autobots led by Optimus Prime had form an alliance called NEST with the human (basically, the Americans and the British).
A few addition had been made to the Autobots lne-up: 3 motorbikes (presumably 'female' robot), two twins (which form some sort of truck selling popsicle). And they're all smaller sized than the original line-up. Meanwhile, for the Decepticons, there is a lot of new addition: the big Destructor (combination of a few constructing machine Decepticons), a big wheel-thing, and a few more towards the end.
AND, there is this old Transormer who had inhabited the Earth to search for something. He used to be a Decepticon, but he changed side. Watch out for him.
Well, actually, the Fallen was one of the earliest ancestors of the Transformers who built a thingy that can harvest energy from suns of any planetary system to energize them. However, as the sun itself would be exhausted, there was an agreement among them that only suns that belong to uninhabitable planetary system can be used. The Fallen however, disagreed, as he was actually building the thingy on Earth (which means that should the sun be consumed, Earth and it's inhabitant would die). Thus, the name the Fallen. Seems kinda like the idea of Lucifer to me.
Thus, this movie is about them (the bad ones a.k.a. the Decepticons, ultimately led by the Fallen) wanting to use the machine so that they could have enough energy to power-up and sustain the life of their kind and further pursue their agenda. However, it turns out that the Autobots won the battle (of course, with the help of the ever powerful American army). Hooray!
Things to watch out for (or that attracted my attention, or made me think):
1. Malaysia Airlines board at the few beginning minutes of the destruction of Shanghai
2. A Decepticon transformer that can change into a hot chick
3. A cute, small Transformer that was originally serving the Decepticons that changed side. And later humped Megan Fox's leg
4. A Decepticon taking off the American flag from the top of a bridge. (Surely made the Americans in the movie go berserk). Hence, the Americans can land and fight anywhere on Earth.
5. For all the attacks done by the Decepticons, the blame was put on terrorists
6. It was stated that President Obama was sent to a hiding place. (Trying to show that this is real and new)
7. A reference was made to swine flu. (Same as point #6)
8. Jordanian airfighters are s**tty. I didn't say that (it's the movie!)
9. Size doesn't matter. It's the will and endurance that matter most! The small twins managed to present a reasonable fight with the big Devastator!
10. Even though the Autobots are smaller in size (and number), they surely showed up a good fight! Optimus Prime's fight of 1-on-3 shows that, even though he lost in the end.

:: why the f***?!! ::
I got a few reasons why I would be really happy if wearing it is banned in libraries:
1. The 'keletuk keletak' sound is very annoying, especially when they pass-by or walk near the quiet study area..
2. It's a hazard. They might fall off and hurt other people.
3. Walking while carrying large heavy books could make they stumble. (However, I haven't seen them walking around with any serious books. I mean, big thick books)
So, please spread the word around so that even if we can't achieve this aim, we could at least:
1. Ask the librarians and the libraries to arrange for more carpeting. Or prepare some sort of sandals (like in the hotels) so that less walking noise can be made.
2. Try and get so that the price of earplugs would be cheaper, and they should be made readily available near study areas.
3. Do a study about what kind of books do the people with high heels read, and place them in a specific area (maybe near a cafe, or near a stage, so that they can show off their heels)..
So, let's start a new campaign...
"Wear flat shoes, or be reasonable when you walk in a library. Other people do study or read books there. Go catwalk somewhere else, please"
:: damn! damn! damn! ::
Oh my God! I'm speechless..
For him to lose the jade must had meant the world to him. And I can understand it, as the jade is an heirloom, passed down through the generations..
All I can say is that, I swear that I will do anything to find the responsible party.
And once caught, the punishment is heavy.
I promise that.

:: judge of character ::
Heh, somehow, it doesn't affect me. Why? Because anyone who really knows me know that I always try to be seen as non-judgmental.
So, does it actually mean that I'm not a good judge of character?
I don't think so. It's just that I don't like to show it. After all, what is important is how you act once you've passed/made a judgment about someone. It's not about what you say.
For example, if you think that someone has a vice but you have no real evidence, what do you do?
I won't ostracize the person, but I'll remain vigilant, and ensure that his/her vice won't affect me. There is no point you're saying that a person is a liar. But what you should do (or what I actually did), was just nod when he/she says something, and ignore it. Take it at no face value at all.
By doing so, did I lose anything? Nope. He/she gets tired talking, but I'll remain unaffected.
At least, when he/she is saying something which is truthful, I can still benefit. And how about him/her? For all I care, he/she can go to hell..
Or, another example is that, if you know someone who is cheating on his/her gf/bf. What would I do? As long it's not being done on me, I'll still reply when he/she talks to me. And I'll slowly talk to their partner about the things. If they don't trust me, I don't care. Their lost, not mine. But one thing for sure, never had I had a gf who had actually left their bf for someone else (regardless of how pretty or sexy or whatever she might be). So you see, I don't say out loud what is my judgment, I just carry it out.
But if it happens to me, I'll bring the person down. Physical plus reputation damage, and lifelong hardship are the things that I promise to those who I'd judged to be worthy of it.
No point reacting to small fish, it made me small as well. Just go for the kill. And torture before death.
Selfish? Well, welcome to my world.
As I had said before, you were born alone, and you will die alone. The only difference is not who you met when you are alive, but it is how that you react to them.
And my last word, being paranoid is part of being me. That's why I had always have a locked door, a tight password, unseen wallet (and keys). For me, you shall protect yourself first, so that should something bad occur to you, you'll have TOTAL power to do your revenge.
You steal my stuff, I get someone to break your legs (You won't die, not because I treasure your life, but because I feel that you don't deserve to die straightforward). Because for you to steal my stuff that means you have to actually enter my private room, open my private drawer. And that calls for unlimited reaction from me.
Why don't I go and break your leg on my own? Well, I deem my hands to be kept as clean as possible. (Cleanliness is near to godliness. And as humans are made in the image of God, I shall behave like one). Why should I dirty it by touching a non-worthy person?
You cheat on me? I'll just walkaway. But if you do it badly, (ie. without using your brain to think), prepare your face to meet my friend, Mr. Superacid. It burns, and it's permanent.
So, what is your judgment about me again? Ask me if I give a rat's ass about it.
I am me, and you are you. Nothing that you say will affect me, unless my judgment is that your words/opinion carry some value in it.

:: solat Taubat ::
Bersyukurlah kita apabila kita mendapat petunjuk.
OK lah, enough with the into, here is the main artikel:
Sumber rujukan: Solat Taubat (Panduan Penjernihan Jiwa)
by Muhammad Isa Selamat
Cara melaksanakan solat taubat :
Cara melaksanakan solat taubat ini sama dengan solat biasa, iaitu setelah berwuduk dengan sempurna, lalu berdiri di tempat yang suci, menghadap kiblat;
· Waktu di lakukan - bila-bila masa merasa telah berbuat dosa (kecuali waktu makruh tahrim utk melakukan solat). Sebaik-baiknya 2/3 malam (pukul 2 pagi ke atas), semasa Qiyamullail
· Lafaz niat: “Sahaja aku mengerjakan solat sunat taubat dua rakaat kerana AllahTa’ala.”
· Rakaat pertama membaca (disunatkan membaca doa Iftitah) kemudian surah Al-Fatihah. Selepas itu Ayatul Kursi 11 kali
· Rakaat kedua membaca surah Al-Fatihah.
· Selepas salam, perbanyakkan istighfar seperti,
Ertinya: Ampunilah hamba Ya Allah.
Dalil2 tentang solat Taubat..
Hukum Dan Dalil Melakukan Sembahyang Taubat adalah sunat - untuk menyempurnakan kewajipan taubat yg hukumnya wajib.
Antara dalilnya yang jelas ialah riwayat Ali bin Abu Talib r.a. berkata, Abu Bakar r.a. mendengar Rasulullah s.a.w. bersabda:
